Renaissance Meets Klezmer! Sunday, May 7th
Pre-Concert Talk 7 PM / Concert 7:30 PM

A celebration of Jewish music and  texts, including works by the Italian Renaissance Jewish composer Salamone Rossi and the late great Canadian Jewish composer Srul Irving Glick.  You can also look forward to a heaping helping of traditional and modern klezmer music featuring guest saxophonist and clarinetist Frank Rackow, accompanied by CRSP Artistic Director Jane Perry at the piano.

crsp-poster-image-dec-2016-squareTo open our forty-sixth season, we presented a Christmas celebration that includes choral music of the French and Flemish Renaissance, some present-day choral gems by Canadian composers Robert Ingari, Peter Togni and Eleanor Daley, and festive instrumental contributions from the CRSP Players. Location: St. Stephen’s Anglican Church (1121 – 14 Avenue SW, Calgary)

Equinox Vigil – Saturday, September 17, 2016 @ 6:30 – 9:30 PM
CRSP makes its second appearance at this annual arts festival that invites the audience to explore different ideas about death. Location: Union Cemetery (Spiller Road SE at 25 Avenue SE). Click here for more info.

Christmas Carolling – every year CRSP ensembles sing Christmas Carols at various locations, times and dates in December in Calgary.

March Forth! A Dinner Party – Saturday, March 4, 2017 @ 6:00 PM. A fundraiser hosted by One Voice Chorus featuring sights and sounds and tastes of Italy. CRSP will perform as a guest choir. Location: Unitarian Church of Calgary (1703 – 1 Street NW) Click here for more info.

Musicians Without Borders Fundraiser – Saturday, March 18, 2017 @ 7:30 PM.
