2024 2025 Season
Our 54th season was an enjoyable one. We performed two live concerts and continued to benefit from the leadership of Paul Grindlay - whose vast experience with early music, positive attitude and encouragement moved us forward. We also collaborated once again with String Theory in our Spring concert, which was a beautiful spectacle!
Special guests for this concert included Chellan Hoffman on the organ, and recorder player, Scott Blair. The program was a Marian and seasonal celebration, with pieces honouring the blessed mother of Jesus, and some popular sing-along carols with origins in earlier times. Featured composers include Palestrina, Victoria, Handl, Mouton, Stravinsky, Franz Biebl, Arvo Part, and the ever-mysterious prolific, "Anon."
This celestial event was a wonderous collaboration with String Theory Music Collective. The audience was taken on a journey of looking out into the universe through Kepler's telescope, searching for the "music of the spheres" and exploring various connections between science, philosophy and religion through early music.
